Safety Tips for Your Business
Keep Accurate Records
Professional Drivers are required to fill out their log books timely and accurately. The Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement (CVSE) Officers will be checking Log books if you get stopped. They are also looking for deficiencies with your vehicle that may make it unsafe to be on the highway.
Pre-Trip Inspection
Before heading out to work, check over your vehicle and identify any deficiencies in your logbook. Ensure you make a not of the below:
- Lights are working properly
- Tires inspected for deficiencies
- Brakes adjusted and working properly
- Check engine fluids
- First aid kits/spill kits on board
- Tavel plan left with someone for check-in
